Breadcrumbs Cause Menu to Malfunction

When I’m on a page, where the breadcrumbs are displayed, and the menu drops past the breadcrumbs, I am unable to pick the menu options below the breadcrumbs, and the menu seems to be dropping behind the breadcrumbs rather than in front of it.

How do I turn off the breadcrumbs, or how can I fix the menu problem?
