How to show portfolio on the front page

Hi, I added the short code [portfolio show=”3″ filter=”true/false”] to the section 7 (this was the gallery in the demo) and then added an item to the portfolio (under portfolio/add new). Nothing appeared. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Yes, I was looking at the documentation and I saw the portfolio shortcode but no indication on how that will work as one of the sections on the home page. Just entering the shortcode worked on a regular page, but it’s not displaying the portfolio in the front page section where I inserted it. I want to have multiple portfolios so the “location” portfolio items are the only category I want to display here. Please help? Thanks!

Any updates? Your help is much appreciated. I changed to a child theme lost the formatting on the front page so I have to set that up again, but I’m still awaiting your answer. Thanks!M
